Post by pokkis » Wednesday 10 September 2008, 19:41

Group of Finnish Ojankaivajat carvers will be on Oppdal Carving camp, again ;) This winter Carving Camp will be 2-7.3.
So please plan your winter so that you will not be there to disturb our carving :bravo:

I think this has more to do with the distance, rather than the style of the invitation ;-)

Istvan, what do you mean by distance? :-) don`t make me laugh :-)

Guys in Siberia establish a carving session so called "Brownian motion" near of Baikal lake :) there are lot of people every year :-)

But probably i understand - i was om FCM in May and heard some guys complained about 4 hours driving :-)

We would join Yllas camp

This year there will be no Ylläs camp. We will have EasterCamp on Suomu, great place close to the boarder with even less crowd but with very limited lodging, luckily. If you need/want some info or advice let me know, this is second best option for carving in North
Perhaps we can have chat in Sölden in December :xmas:
I need to update flegmatic side related 2009 soon

No news from Oppdal: Pokkis and Paula riding from first lift to the last, Harald and Tore riding like youngsters, Hans riding skis and all people here having blast.
And I'm taking pictures:

Thanks for nice words :D . And again big thanks to Pokkis for arranging this camp and promoting Oppdal :clap2: and to Vahur for patience to take all the excellent shots  .
By the way, Pokkis measured the steepest section in Vangslia to 30 degrees (the same as Barthelemy according to him) and the steepest slope at Oppdal to 35 degrees at the steepest, average 32. We had a wonderful week, nice participants, few guest in the slopes and quite nice weather. The management promised to set up shuttle traffic next year, so you can come there even without cars.
