Somewhere to try on Virus/UPZ boots around Zürich

Post by neil_swingler » Saturday 17 February 2007, 18:55

I would like to try on the Virus/Upz boots since my feet are very wide and never entirely happy in my Raichles. Does anybody know a shop that is stocking them around Zürich?

"Out on street" ( http://www.outonstreet.ch/ ) close to the bhf Wiedikon has them.
Boots look very good, but way too stiff for my taste.

Cool thanks xyxx. Not far from the office.

I am amazed those guys are still doing hard boot stuff since they always seemed pretty fashion oriented. I bought my first Intec bindings from them in 1997 (then went back for new cables a few weeks later  )

The reported stiffness is worrying but I keep reading stuff about how good they are for wide feet.

Yes, I was quite surprized too. Apparently, the owner is a hardbooter himself, and he claims he is the only one selling hard stuff in the city (which is not entirely true, but pretty much). In any case, I found him being very useful in getting spare parts for my raichles that brake every once in a while. :)

Hey Neil, what about going for a ride together once before the winter is over (well, looking out of the window I'd say it is already over)? This weekend? Hoch-Ybrig?

Cheers,
Peter

Sorry Peter, about to go on holiday this weekend :D Will look you up in a couple of weeks though. I'm also a Hoch-Ybrig fan.

I have just got back from the shop. He only had one size there (42/270) which was really one size too big for me. It was interesting to see the boots in real life anyway. Certainly they looked well made and nice and wide in the toe box.

I know this place have them:

But it is a bit of a drive and at least in their webshop they have nothing smaller than 42.5
