Excellent news from Jacques!
He was in Zinal today (27th January) and the snow conditions are really excellent for carving and extremecarving. The black slope ("double diamond") "La Corne" is awesome. The black slope "Barthélémy" has been prepared and is very good too. A few flags show the places where the stones are! Jacques could extremecarve everywhere! Excellent conditions for end of January in Zinal!

I leave now for... driving to Zinal!
See you all next week at the ECS! Yahooo!
Patrice Fivat
PS: On Wednesday and Thursday we will get even more snow along to the weather forecast!

Jacques report sounds very nice!
But do they really know in Zinal what Snow is?
I don't love rock-boarding so much! In Ticino snow-conditions are fine!
Have a look to the high of snow, measured by SLF, since the last snowfalls!

Tell to me please how to reach on public transport from the Geneva airport?
The bus, train...
How many costs to a taxi from Geneva to Zinal?
I do not talk on French or Swiss German. Only in English.

Dinner at Sorebois: what will be approximate start time?
And will there be possibility to purchase tickets right before dinner? IIRC in last year it was possible to pay in Sorebois, but I assume that personnel wants to know beforehand, how many people will be at dinner so could we do some counting for those, who won't buy dinner tickets beforehand?
Unfortunately I'll arrive at Zinal only Saturday afternoon, so no riding for me on Saturday. But I don't want to miss dinner!

1) This map shows the snow at 2000m. All the pistes in Zinal (except the one which goes back to the village) are above 2500m and there is of course more snow!
2) The snow quality is better than in many other Swiss and French resorts this season! We are really lucky.
3) No stones at Zinal this season thanks to the 66 new snow guns.
4)
I was in Zinal on Sunday and Monday! Amazing!

Excelllent extremecarving conditions, my best days so far this season. I wonder why few people don't believe it's really good. After the meeting it will be too late to regret...
5) Excellent weather forecast! Again 3 sunny days this year!
See you soon!
