17th ExtremeCarving Session, 2020: Feedback, pictures, etc.

Post by Swoard team » Monday 27 January 2020, 17:22

 You can give your feedbacks below. Thanks!
----------------------------------------

:D :silly: It was a fantastic session with great EC conditions during three days, and with participants coming from all Europe (Switzerland, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Finland...), Russia, Canada, USA and even Japan!
Riders from all levels were there (beginners were welcome), but the average level is now really high! :bravo:

Our reserved slope, and the other slopes, resisted very well against the carving trenches. For the first time, we organized a fun challenge: an extremecarving slalom, with small flexible gates (no risk of injury) which we planted in such a way to force the riders to carve hard and to close their turns. It was for the fun, and also for experimental purpose. We realized that some distances should be increased so the extremecarving slalom can be run at higher speed. Participants and organizers will have the opportunity to train more during the 18th and 19th Sessions, so that we will organize something with prices for the 20th anniversary.

Here is the group photo on Saturday:

Personal thanks from Patrice, the organizer:
Warm thanks to all the people who helped Swoard before and during the three days. :bravo: Without them, this event would not exist. :pray2:
Not in alphabetical order: Christian (the photographer), Holly, Etienne, Joël, François, Arnaud, Anthony, Julien, Sébastien, Jörg, José, Valérie, Mallorie, Julien D. (the cameraman and film editor), Antoine B. (2nd cameraman), Laurent R. (drone pilot), Maxime H. (cameramen assistant) and all the other people who helped.

Here is a cool picture from Pokkis, shot on Saturday (from the subject here):

Image

This piste is named "Le Col" and starts from the top of the resort. It was reserved for us on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Here is the second piste starting from same point, but going down to the chairlift. It is named "La Face", but the local guys (me included) call it "La Face à Etienne". :D Well, on Monday, we had a big smile on the face! ;-)

Is it possible to change the photo?
In this photo, some faces are covered with the wrong hands or turned to the side.
thanks

Yes, this is the eternal problem of group photos. We selected the best one with minimum of hands (only 3?) hiding faces. There are too many faces and hands! ;-)

Great video! Beautiful footage, professional editing, nice interviews. One of the best ECS video of those I can recall.
Thank you for the constant top-class organization of the meeting and the spectacular images! :pray2:
