Kaprun 16,17,18 december 2005

Post by Hans » Wednesday 7 September 2005, 19:04

Start my season 16,17 and 18 december 2005 in Kaprun.

Some nice carvepists?

Lifts to avoid?

Food and drinks?

Any one else gonna be there? (chance to demo my Coiler)

Greets, Hans.

Did you get it?
I have one exactly the same coming too. Bruce told me that it will be in my hands soon.

I'm planning to have my Xmas and new years day in Kronplatz and Corvara.
I think there, is going to be my first rides of my new Coiler 180RC II.
As you going to ride it first I'm looking forward to your review about it.

Just praying for a good season with alots of snow.

Aris.

Coiler

Well, I think we get our Coilers at the same time. I just have an email from him that my core is ready and make my board out of it. I will give a short review of it.

It's not very big, but I like Kaprun very much. Yes there are excellent carving slopes, all located near the top of the area. For warm-up, take the Kitz- oder Keeslifte, nice well groomed blue run. Then hit for the Maurer located to the right from the Keeslift (seen from below). From the two pistes, the left slope is less steap, the right slope is better. But the slope I really love is the Schmiedinger. Located in the leftmost part of the area. Starts of nicely, then pitches and off you go!

Food and drinks: go to the center, where you'll find a little square and some bars. Kitsch und Bitter is nice for a drink, Paletti too and they have good pizzas. Great cake you can eat at Morokutti's.

Don't know if I'm gonna be there then, at least I'll be somewhere in Austria? August 9 we had an excellent powder session over there (and one board less after the session).

Have fun!

Erwin
