Best season in Zinal for the 15th ExtremeCarving Session

Awesome! In 20 years I had never seen so much snow in January at the top of Zinal ("La Corne", 2900m).
This picture was shot on 6th January 2018:

What a gift for the 15 years anniversary of the ExtremeCarving Session!
The black slopes are covered with a thick coat of snow!
As usual, the slope "Le Col" will be reserved for us in the mornings.

Cold temperature and great snow

This week it's snowing 50 cm more! We called the Gods for nice weather on 27-28-29 January!

Well, this forecast is too optimistic. MeteoSwiss gives more reliable prediction (they got a new radar in Valais).

It has snowed one more meter last weekend!
The road to Zinal has been closed for 48h, but everything should return to normal conditions from Tuesday 23 January at noon.
The nice weather which is forecasted for one week (excepted on Friday) will permit preparation of nice extremecarving slopes!

Some people in the village told me they had not seen such a winter since... 1992 !!
No hesitation anymore for coming. The Session will be HUGE.
