Visax tuning rack!
Highly recommended for the EC-guys with little space in the basement, garage, apartment, etc. That still want their boards in good condition!

Re: VISAX
Hans,
The rack is a general purpose for both Skis and Snowboard. One ski/board at the time. The rack consists of two vice, one for the tip and the other for the tail of the ski/board.
Roger
Yep! I use it myself. Actually I bought the rack (together with a friend) from the manufacturer at the local hill. His name is Ilmo Trast and father to (famous?) Ingemar Backman. He took the rack to the resting room of the hill and set it up on a table with my swoard attached to it, with no fuss and in about 20 seconds I could have been filing my steel edges or putting on some wax.Hans wrote:Hi, Roger
Looks very nice. The film at their site looks very interesting too. Mostly vises are only suitable for snowboards or skis, never for both.
Do you use this vise by yourself?

This year I wanted to invest in a good workbench.
I was very interest by the ToolTonic, but when I see (and tried) it in Zinal
150€ is very expensive for me.
So I buy SkiMan workbench (only for snowboard) on Worden, I tried it last week and you can do an excellent repair job on your board !

Doing the job easy
Yes, I am looking for a vise that is suitable for skis and snowboards. The Flat of Tooltonic is the most perfect. But very expensive to import to the EU: taxes and shippingcosts make the price about euro 250,-- I think.
So I think I go for the VISAX if get a satisfied answere to my mail about the shippingcosts to the Netherlands.

Got also an email from tooltonic. Shippingcosts of the X-Flat cost me
euro 29,--. And they have a new product to polier the sides with a roto-fish. Looks great to me. So I am still considering what to buy since a have a set of Tooltonic for two years. I am very satisfied with it.
