Swoard and weight question

I really can't wait to purchase a new Swoard. I've reviewed the recommendations based on boot size, weight and height. I have a friend who purchased a softer flex, softer than the recommended flex. He's a great carver and loves Swoards his second one. I wonder if flex would make a huge difference in carving based on my weight.

HEIGHT - 167.5cm
WEIGHT - 77kg
FOOT LENGTH - 26cm/mondo size

Chart indicates I should purchase a 161H based on metrics listed above. Would a 161M work? I've been snowboarding for over 10 years, hard boot riding for the past 3-4 years. I'm making the transition to a quality board and concerned about proper dimension.

See my review and comparison of two flexes in viewtopic.php?t=3600 January 19, 2009. My conclusion is that if you would like a versatile board that works great under most condition, go for the softer one.

Those entirely new Blax bindings do not have a bad starting price. They seem to be just as good as non titanium F2's selling for about 120 at Bluetomato right now.

Maybe you should wait for the advice from someone who got the same height/weight/boot size as you before making your final choice.
But if I am not wrong, according to the tables, you are not between 2 different flex...at all.
I usually ride a 161M, tried the 161H and I would probably recommend the softer (easier) one if you were really between 2 flex charts but, considering your weight, I would definetely go for the 161H!
