The teaser is fantastic!

But may I suggest several recommendations?

1. The music, Ride of the Valkyrie, is probably the wrong choice for American market. Because us (English people) cannot help up think about the movie "Apocalypse Now" whenever we hear that music. This is the music that plays during that infamous scene where LtCol Kilgore and his air cavalry battalion attacks NVA village. Sorry, we just cannot get rid of that movie from our mind and whenever we hear that music and think "Hey, isn't that the music from that movie where helicopters attack a Vietnam village?" It's kinda funny to hear that music in this teaser....

But we wouldn't mind... as long as:
2. It might be a good idea to change the music during the transition scene where Jacques seems to adjust his board. Some cool, spring-themed ambient music changed rapidly as these two awesome riders ride would be more dramatic, IMHO.

Hope this helps... :)

music, most people that are under 25 now never saw the movie and for some reason, even if i love coppola's movie, i think the walkyrie does not belong to one movie etc.... so i'm sure u'll love it :)

Anyway, I took quiet a few liberties with Wagner. (and so did Coppola by the way)

I hope nobody will notice or take offense... :P

Another 2k screening

Post by fivat » Wednesday 11 June 2008, 13:28

Jonas is organizing another screening for non-professional audience:

Thursday 19th June, at 19:30
Location: "Fonction:Cinema" in Geneva, Switzerland
Address (map here):
Maison des Arts du Grütli
Rue du Général Dufour 16

The theater has 60 places and is new (for one month)! :D The 2k digital projector is very seldom in Switzerland: the quality is just amazing (2 times the HD quality)!
It will be open to everyone. Jonas and I will be there 8) (but not Jacques unfortunately because of his main job).

Carved is out!

Post by Jonas Rejman » Monday 30 June 2008, 18:37

Carved is out for download for a donation via PayPal. Some already got it, because I was testing the site, and all in sudden, the inquiries kept coming. That's very cool guys, thank you for the support of Carved that way. After all that work, that is very motivating and tells a lot about the spirit of the EC community. (And not to mention, that its summer :-D )
Please see the teaser and check the reviews. Some guys wrote about it already. That will help you to decide if you should go for it or not.
Remember to check, if your computer can handle the playback, to avoid bad surprises. I start to work on a DVD image, for those who are not into HD yet. Once it is ready, it will be added as download to your account on my site.

If you are a member of Digg.com, and would not mind to digg me at the Carved Front page, that would be awesome.
