Anyone rides 175H? Looking for feedbacks

Post by montefuca » Wednesday 30 January 2008, 14:02

Hi, could someone gives me any feedback about the H flex?

There's a lot of difference from the M one?

i've noticed that now that i can ride just a little better and have a good training, with my M have to reduce speed to carve better..

My confusion come from my weight and height, because i'm between the two size. (87kg * 1.88 m * 29 MP Deeluxe Suzuka)

Thanks

It's all about controlling the speed ;-)

Read this: (copy from https://www.extremecarving.com/swoard/choose.html)

If you hesitate between two flexes consider the following information: A board with a softer flex is easier to ride but is less stable and will support less pressure during a hard carve. If a stiffer flex is selected, expect the opposite. If your ultimate goal is extremecarving do not hesitate to select the stiffer model, as it will provide more support during a hard carve. Using a stiffer board will not obstruct the rider from turning in any style. It simply requires a little more leg strength to maneuver. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a board that is easy to ride, select the softer flex. The softer board requires less effort to maneuver, but is slightly less efficient when extremecarving.

Cheers

I also ride an 175h.

No problems so far, but the board does need some strength in your legs and likes to be pushed. On the other hand, you can really push it.

I haven't been able to test it in very hard or icy conditions so far.

BTW, I'm 1m90 and around 85kg. And I'm coming from a blue Hot Blast 182 which is not a lot stiffer than the Swoard H.

So montefuca, if you're a real man: go for the H :-)

Hi guys, my name's Alvaro (Alvin75).

So i'm in trouble because i'm about 183cm x 78kg (12% fat) and 27.5MP.
I think i'm right for 175M. What do you think abuot your personal experience?
For (extreme)carve better, is a better choice the 175H for me or i make the step longer than my leg?

Thanks to everybody!
Alvin75

mh.. you all make me really think about the H.

In Zinal we'll have the last decision! :D

From what i've understand, this flex it's a little harder on icy snow, where the difference is done from the rider's leg?

Hi,
(with the elp of the harrap's dictionnary :? )
My number: 1.86cm, 85kg, and... 42 years old.
I've a 175H new generation since one month.
At the begining, it was hard for my legs, but after few sessions, I don't regret my choice. And it's also good one icy snow!
If you have good legs, take the hard board, don't think anymore.
A+

my personal experience is

Icy snow i prefere to use the S flex....

in good or soft snow condition I prefe use my M flex....

If i have to make only 1 choice... M without any hesitations.
