length

Post by annimose » Wednesday 18 January 2006, 20:15

I want to buy a swoard and i am not sure about the length.

My values:

hight 182cm
weight 81Kg
shoes 32cm

on the swoard homepage the suggestion is to take 175M but i never
had such a long board. Is there a great difference between 175M and
168H ?

isn't the shorter one better where the piste isn't optimal and where many bumps are ?

Thank you for your hints.

Hi,
As said many times before, follow the Swoard guidelines. 175 M is the board for you. I think the ability to make tight turns depends more on the radius of the board than the length. My experience is that clean carving turns needs some space anyhow. For tight turns, slalomboards with radius abt 9 m might be better. My point of view.

well the length is not really a problem, unless you go into moguls.
The 175M is more stable for your size/weight, it is also able to carve much more shorter radii turns than the 13M "paper" radius!

Come to zinal and compare both models!
