A work collegue was listening to music in his car every day to go to work by streaming from his iphone using bluetooth. The phone was always in his jeans pocket. One day he noticed he had a strange skin color in this area. He found that the design of this was matching the design from the iphone bluetooth antenna. So take care of this technology, it's not totally innocuous. At least if not on the latest revision which I think can lower the emitting power. The older revisions don't, like wi-fi.

I do have my cell phone always with me while in the mountains. Always in a pocket and always turned off... So in danger I can use it and nobody can bother me.

When we were organizing PCS, we used pocket walkie-talkies. Next time we should change for pocket CB's but there is no chance that I will ever use my cell phone when riding. :-)

20 years ago we didn't even know that we will ever be speaking with a personal phone in outspace. Now it seems unnatural when somebody does not answer a phone.

I'm against any kind of massive online activity as facebook or cellphone. Cellphone makes you a slave. I'm free... :-)

The cell phone itself is not a big issue, the cellular radio always adjusts its emitting power dynamically. But the bluetooth and wi-fi don't, they're always at max power when turned on. So even if the power should be low, it seems it can hurt long term. I'm not against cellphone, it's my job :D . But just like you I'm against facebook, I don't want to spread my life on the web.
