Should i buy a TD2?!

Post by bowen » Sunday 22 August 2004, 15:36

Hello together,

the Season is getting closer, an i am waiting every day for positive news wether i can get a swoard this season :(

but i also need a binding, and this can be done now. so far i wrote older posts and have fum with the search funktin

the binding will be an investment and i want to have it a littlebit longer, so td2 can be the only solution, wich is also good for extremecarving. i have writtn the problems wirh the bails. that makes me a little bit  doubt because my wight is min.90kg  (pure mussle for shure)
but when i look at other bindings that i have tested they have alu bails!!! and they are in plastc holders! some of them wehre still roundbended(rundgebogen in german) an there still hold.
on the point it seems that there isnt` ab better binding anyway and they working on the problems an give a 5 year warranty.

so wehn i will develop the ec-stil an obey the tecnical rules of the website, ihave to order the binding withot any canting or heel-toe lift?
with the yellow ring?
and without step-in?
msut i notice somethingelse?

my boots are deeluxe suzuka size:46

thanx for many answeres

One can not go wrong with TD2s or Catek Olympic :D
So if you are after traditional bail bindigs, they are best what you can get.
Cateks are not so common on this side of Atlantic but they are great bindings too. Plus you can adjust them anyway you want, if that is needed or even more 8) But if you are after just EC style flat setting, then pick either of them.
In case of steppins, then easiest and chepest ones are F2s, i prefer them over TD2s and Cateks due non AL heel piece.

Hint: buy the softest ring, do not buy lift disks, ride flat.

Cheers,

István

Within five days you will have the stuff, may be even faster (my orders with bomber never took longer than three days)
