Hello!

The main Swoard event is approaching! If you have not booked your hotel yet, don't wait anymore and click here. The Reservation Center (see below) can help you find a room. Note that it's possible to sleep in Grimentz, the other resort which is only 10 minutes away (by car or bus).

If you can't participate in these Swoard test days, there are other events of the Swoard Demo Tour. Moreover you can contact one of our 10 Test Centers.

Each participant will need a blue package, a red package or a yellow package, to purchase BEFORE the event. In Zinal it will be too late: the skipasses are sold at normal price only. Moreover the number of participants to the event and to the dinner will be limited to 250 persons.

We managed to keep the prices of the packages unchanged in Swiss Francs (CHF) in comparison to last year.

The normal price of the skipass in the "Val d'Anniviers" is: 49 CHF per day.
For 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 consecutive days, the normal price is 93 / 137 / 178 / 216 / 245 / 273 CHF.

In consequence, for the people who are staying in the resort less than 7 days, it is always better value to take the blue package + a skipass for the additional days, instead of a skipass at full price for the entire stay + the yellow package.
It is better value to take the yellow package only if you stay 7 days or more in the resort.

Don't hesitate to organize car sharing in the section Who When Where?.

If it's your first participation, here is the location of Zinal in the canton of Valais! Follow the highway Geneva-Lausanne-Sion-Sierre until "Sierre-Ouest". Take the exit "Val d'Anniviers" and then follow the direction "Zinal".

Further to east, in the next valley, people don't speak French but Swiss German...

Two frequent questions:

(1) Will it be possible to buy some DEMO boards at the stand? (and during the Swoard Demo Tour)

- The new Extremecarver Gen4, and the DUAL: no.

- The Extremecarver Gen3: yes.
Only 8-9 demo boards are left. Please ask Patrice at the stand. The boards will be sold from Sunday.

(2) Will it be possible to purchase some NEW boards (Gen4 and DUAL) during the ECS?

Not during the event, because we carry already more than 40 demo boards, and we could not take all the 3 sizes and 5 flexes! But it's possible to purchase your Swoard BEFORE the meeting and to get a delivery at your hotel in Zinal (even before your arrival). The VAT is 8% and the shipping cost to your hotel (or rent agency) is only 15 CHF.

I have checked with the tourist office and Claudia (Veras) told me that the office does not have an internet payment service. Therefore, I bought my packages in the traditional way, e-mail+ phone, as I won't give credit card details on mail.

Another girl, Karine, told me that they are working for several weeks on an online booking system: it would be no more necessary to call or to write e-mails. But the computer technicians have some issues. Moreover it was not clear if we could pay online directly.

Anyway, like Harald, go for the traditional method, which works well for several years.

I was told by the director that the snowcats could not drive up hill on the Barthélémy, even with the cable, because of too much fresh snow.
They managed to do it finally after 2 days and the slope is opened like all other ones since Christmas!

As described on the posters of the Swoard Demo Tour, we launch a contest in which you can win a Swoard Dual.
The task is simple: after trying the Dual, write a short essay on your experience and thus participate in the draw to win a Swoard DUAL.
Entry forms are available at the Swoard booth at each Swoard Demo Tour location.

The draw will be held on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 at the dinner of the final SDT meeting in Courchevel.

1st prize: a Swoard Dual – your choice of size
2nd prize: a toolkit for edge tuning TF10 Tooltonic
3rd prize: a set of Swoard souvenirs (T-shirt+cap+key ring)
