Extreme Dutch Kiter

Post by rstalfoort » Friday 9 September 2011, 10:24

Hi everyone, allow me to introduce our Dutch Extreme Kiter - Dick van der Spek. He can do almost anything with his kite and waveboard. I think he definitely rocks like us snowboarders

Great ! Its board looks wide compared to usual kite surf boards.
And as for extremecarving, this guy looks as an experienced man, not a youngster

2 others dutch guys rocking on the sea : HEEMSKERK Mischa and TENTIJ Bastiaan 2nd at the world championship F18 on a french boat.

Hi Arnaud, how are you?

Dick is absolutely experienced and still a youngster, you can tell by looking in his eyes, just like you

Awesome! I love this picture. :clap3:
Do you have any video or photo sequence for studying the move? I would like to learn... though the way is long till Dick's level!
I wonder what the exact move with the kite is.

Another nice picture had been shown in this Forum 4-5 years ago. The rider is Jacques Delpierre:

Now some surfers also achieve amazing turns close to EC: see this thread posted by Nils.

Next step is to achieve the same turns on the backside! :D

I recognize you on this picture, Sylvain! :D
Next winter I want to see you extremecarving with no bindings! ;-)

When there is no wave and no wind, this (expensive and noisy) tool is an option. Carving seems great on flat water.
But I doubt it is allowed on my (Geneva) lake. Indeed the jetskis are forbidden in Switzerland.
