What You think about this board?

Post by Abrax » Monday 7 March 2011, 22:40

Hi there,

I have spotted this snowboard... -> http://allegro.pl/rewelacyjny-snowboard ... 21225.html

Nose: 27
Waist: 22,5
Tail: 26,7

eff. edge: 155,3

Seems like a Swoard 168 right?

Can I ask You to compare the dimentions?

I'm interested in what You think about this board...

It's name is Felice and it is made stock in pure white.

There are other similar boards..like the duret which comes pretty cheap and it is very very close in shape to the swoard, but materials and construction are very important. I have one and it is completely different from the swoard...

Those bindings are by far the worst I've ever encountered.

I was asking, because some time ago it was new and everybody could have bought it...

I'm the Swoard guy, so I won't buy anything else, but I was curious what was this...

So far I know, that it was a proto model similar to SWOARD, made by Korean company Felice. It is not yet produced, it can't be bought. I don't think that there are many of this kind.

Anyway, it is always good when there is not only a Swoard on the market. The more boards of this kind, the better chance for us to spot a difference and... buy the board of best choice :-)

Abrax and what do you think about Swiss Replica Watches?

"The more watches of this kind, the better chance for us to see a difference and... buy the watches of best choice"

Alike, But Not the Same!

Hmm... This is more complex...

1. Most of the people will buy watch to know what is the right time, right?
You don't really need Swiss watch to know the time... But it is cool to see peoples faces when they see that You own one... Even if it's actually a fake one...

2. On the other hand, most of extremecarvers will buy a board which will allow extremecarving...
And this is not really possible with the low budget board...
Or maybe it is possible on the very high level of riding skills, and... The more PRO You are, the better gear You want to ride...

I mean that if You are at a high enough level You probably have spent so much time on a board, that You know that it SHOULD be a really good one. So why would You want to complicate things with a cheap replica? And the other truth is that comparing cost to effectiveness, Swoard is really a reasonably priced board.

Anyway, there are so many riders who want to advance by buying a very good board for a much less money... But the truth is there won't be any magic here. Good boards cost. Because of the effort made in the past, because of materials, special design or any kind of knowledge put into them.

And I also mean that You can buy a cheap board, but if You can do the EC, sooner or later You WILL buy a Swoard... Just to taste this board or to stay with it forever... Swoard is a legend, it has started with the Swoard, anything after is simply "not this"... This is my point of view.

But on the other hand, the more different boards, the more chance to spot why You would actually want to buy the original... So keeping in mind this, the more replicas, the better... ;)

@vitaly:
Do you think swoard invented wide and torsional stiff boards? Then they should have had patented it. So there's no reason for other brands not to build such boards or do i see it the wrong way?
The thing is, that a swoard is more than only a wide alpineboard, it's a piece of philosophy that other wide-torsianal stiff-board-manufacturer doesn't afford in this way.

:-) tak, tez sie czailem :-)

Finally the Felice prototype is not really a weapon to deal with extremecarving. This is one of the first prototypes made in Korea for their market. As They say, this prototype was not a really good model. They've finally produced a nice board in a different factory. It is called AXER which is not really a Swoard - like board :-)

I like tha inscription on the base side! :-)

Check this:
http://www.axer.co.kr/front/php/product ... ay_group=2

The video on the page shows that it is a nice carving board :-)
Great work out there don't You think?
