My name is Jožko, coming from Slovenia. I have 19 years old and I am new at this sport.
I bought snowboard ''nidus rock 158'' and I put on soft boots. Both legs are on 45°. Is this ok? And can I carf with soft boots?
Thank you for the answers

With an alpine stance usually people add some splay between binding angles, like 5-10 degrees. But people also use same binding angles sometimes, or more than 10 degrees of splay. It depends on your build, and you have to find out what's best for you. If you are a bit knock-kneed or bowlegged you obviously would have to setup a different splay on the same board. I would say use a moderate splay of 5-10 degrees to start with and see what works the best for you. Your rear foot should not have too much boot out, a little bit like 2-3 cm can work but not more.
I don't know your size and weight but if the board would be right for my length and weight and it is a carving board like the builder promises it would be a very good setup to carve. Softboot boards in general can be a bit too short and soft for serious carving, but this one seems to be okay.

The board is a bit on the short side, but will do for now. People can carve really well in softboots nowadays if they use a proper board and good technique. You shouldn't worry about not having hardboots yet. Learn to carve a bit first.joker1991 wrote:My weight is 73 kg and my size is 182 cm. I'm really confused because i don't know what to do. Someone is talking, that the hard boots are better for beginners and someone otherwise. :/ What should I do?
And do take the invitation for the carvers meeting. There is nothing better than people giving you tips when they see you ride. On the internet I can only make an educated guess at best.

You have tons of info on this...
Usually there should be 7 degr more in the front leg, ideal situation is where there is no more than 45 degr on the back binding. You should find a post describing the correct carving STANCE. It is important to have Your legs separated enough...
You don't really have to buy hardboots at all, finally we have DUAL proposed, but if You want really big precision, hardboots will always be better.
