Alpine boarders on Athleticum brochure!

Post by Schneewurm » Friday 1 October 2010, 13:10

Recently I was on progress to watch out and for to buy actual snowboarding-clothings for me.
I recomend to people here, to take care to be at right time too.
Stores are now in progress to, or have now switched to all the wintersports goods.
It's realy tricky to find the balance of time-schedule for to get the right stuff.
To be to early means jackets and pants are not in store, because the are still on delivery status. To be to late means cool things like, mtn.force inMotion nature down jackets (SFr. 1550.-/around Euro 1200.-), or Lasse Kjus jackets with Schoeller-PCM (EUR 1000.-), but also cheaper, but very understatement-style Powderhorn Billy the Kid jackets (SFr. 890.-/Euro 700.-) are sold out (like on last winters) immediatly. (*)

Of course I went also to mainstream level stores. Sometimes they offers also nice things. But it takes times, to find between all the stuff from Burton, Nitro, Mammut, Bonfire, Columbia, Rip Curl, .... cool and affordable clothings.

One of these mainstream level store in Switzerland is Athleticum Sport markets.
Athleticum, a retailer chain (25 stores), is No. 2 of all stores/store-type on market in Switzerland for Teens and Tweens between 15-25 Years.

Upcomming brochure of wintersport-goods will be available the next days nation-wide in all stores. This brochures (48 pages) shows many brand-specific realy nice posters/pictures from skiers and snowboarders.

And there is also one from a raceboarder covering at least a half page (see picture below)!

Alpin-snowboarder Nevin Galmarini want to push the Athleticum brand K-Tec. (budget-type clothes, price-tags e.g. jackets SFr. 200-400.-/EUR 150.- to 300.-)

On the cover of the brochure another alpine snowboarder can be found: Ueli Kestenholz, 2-time Worldchampion on raceboards. What he like to do now-a-days You can watch on multisport movie Playgravity-II (DVD). Both men handle to ride on softboots very well too!

For sure there is even more! People are asked on Nation-wide ski and snowboard test-event from Athleticum to join Nevin Galmarini's rides!

(* and Yes, flats and hotels on major skiresorts, but also at some tiny ski-resorts in the alps for upcomming high season weeks, are now booked-out 100% too!)

Just for an info: ALDI Schweiz starts promoting UPZ! In their last promotion brochure that landed in our mailbox there was a male model showing their ski jacket and ski pants and he was wearing the RC10 UPZ shoes, with an Intec heel! Is UPZ going to be a discount shoe?

It would be nice, because they are very expensive for now.
In France, you can find them in the famous shops "Le Vieux Campeur" but they are the most expensive hard boots on the market: 489 Euros for the RC 10 and 499 Euros for the ATB.

UPS or UPZ were always quite expensive. You can have a look at ricardo.ch, sometimes you'll find them for a good price. But it is rather exceptional.
