How to make 2 hundreds ennemies in 2 seconds
Hi all,
After watching videos and pictures of you all, it seems that extreme carvers are all more than 30 years old ! ! !
So, I see 2 different explications :
1) To be a good extreme carver, you must begin learning when you're very young and you can show your nice vdos and pictures only after many years of learning, so when you're more than 35 years old !
OR
2) This discipline only please middle age people ! ! ! ! !
Ouch ! ! Don't hit my head
Ok, I'm going out...
PS : I'll be 40 years old in 2 months...

It`s simple - to be a good extremecarver you need to spend about 1-2 season to master your technic. But to afford that you need to live in Alps or earn sufficient money on your daily job It`s like old guy buying Porsche to pik-up young chicks....sort of...But we have few people that are younger.tkc wrote:Hi all,

I'll take a guess.
Around here, youngest carvers are around 15, most people I would think start around 25-30 when changing over from softboots or skis.
Add 5 years or more to master good carving techniques then another few years to master SMOOTH EC technique, then you'll have a bunch of middle age carvers.
Obviously if you're talented, you'll be younger.
But if you're like me, you'll definitely be in middle age!!

Okay tkc, being at 40 you should now show us your pics and vids...
Anyhow, I think noone got offended here being called (practically) an old fart... ripping the hill into two and being an old fart at the same time I think is elevating.
We all know that hardbooting and especially EC is an elitist niche sport and one needs to have a phat bankaccount to afford that... a nice quiver costs the price of a used medium class car... but we still love this sport, don't we.
So all in all, you have not made enemies, you've made friends.
Here's a survey from Bomberonline on distribution of age of hardbooters. pretty much underpins your point.
Kindest,
A young fart (35)
ps.: should you really want to make 200 enemies in 2 seconds, start criticizing EC technique and brand...

@TKC: If you like teasing all those granny boarders try this:
A) One could claim: linking fully-laid-down turns with boards made by Virus are not possible. The only "right" gear is like following (...)
B) Another try to get much more people angry: You cannot drive Swoards fast cause they're not narrow and stiff enough....
C) Cause all of those granny-boarders are anxious of driving really fast, they try to cut speed by touching the snow during turns while telling that would be way cooler than beeing a Super-G-Speed-Junkie
Yours sincerely,
Peter
