Lib Tech uses serated edges, like a bread knife and call it "Magna Traction" - Anyone try this on a carving board?

No and the answer is easy: we sharpen our edges almost everyday, and magna traction is very difficult to sharpen using normal tools. The other thing beeing that carving boards do not have to compensate for a shape or flex that is not that good in carving..last reason is you need special machines in shop for maintaining those and its a real bummer to find them...
the worst system i've seen is the ultimategrip that Nidecker uses on a few boards...there is NO way you can hand sharp that!
