Some Q's about bindings

Hi!
I was just reading JR's post on TD2 bindings, and I must admit I wanted to order myself a pair (or two) immidiately! He seems very pleased.

Anyhow, I remembered I managed to destroy both rails on my rear binding this year. First the front one, and then ther rear one the next day. Those are (hmmm...WERE) the Drake bindings I got from a racer-friend some 4 years ago. Since I ride mostly 10-15 days a year, I thought those bindings didn't last very well.

Is it so common to break those rails?

Then again, those step-ins...They still look weak to me. I dunno why, I never had a pair, never used'em, but somehow they seem weak. Am I wrong?

And third, did anyone ever heard of "Tiger Force" binding from Voelkl? What they say on their site is great, but I'd like to hear from someone who actually had it.
