Deeluxe Hardboots

Post by István » Wednesday 2 December 2009, 20:47

Does anyone of you have a sizing chart for Deeluxe boots (preferably T700). If I'm not mistaken one shell size fits several (2-3?) liner sizes. What I would need is a chart showing which shell size goes with which liner sizes.

Thanks

Thanks Pokkis.

So in case my liner is 285mm (that's what it says) my shell can take a one size smaller or a one size larger liner?

Thanks

so you talk about normal liners, right?
if you take 280 liner then it will be slightly thicker to fill some extra space

The standard T700 liners come in half sizes, like 275-285-295 whereas the thermoflex liners come in sizes like 270-280-290. If I'm not mistaken.

A friend of mine has slightly bigger feet. I would give him an older 700 boot (Indy) I have, so the question is if he can put in a 295 liner into the shell that comes originally with a 285 liner.

The question has already been answered - a 280 shell will take a 280 or 285 liner. A 27x liner will be too short, and a 29x liner too long.

Best thing to do is do the shell fit test; if your friend can get their foot in the shell, liner removed, and get 1 to 1.5 fingers behind the heel, they will be able to wear the boot without major pain. At that point get a 285 thermoflex and aa good bootfitter if there's a likelihood of having to punch out the shell.

Tufty, the thing is that the deeluxe thermo liners come in sizes like 270-280-290.

So the only chance my friend has (assuming he has a slightly bigger foot than mine) if he can put the 290 thermo liner in my old Indy (that came originally with a 285 liner).

According to your responses that will not fly, because that boot is I guess a mondo 28 that can take a 280 thermo or a 285 normal liner.

At least this how I understood the above, but maybe I'm wrong....

In that case i would use 280 thermo liners, they will give more space for foot than using 290 thermos.

Exactly. 280 *deeluxe* thermo or 28x normal. Do the shell fit test; if that's a go-er, *then* start worrying about liners.

With some "encouragement", you *will* be able to stuff a 290 liner in a 280 shell, but it will take more volume than a 280 liner, and probably end up with all sorts of nasty uncomfortable creases and bits to boot.

Although Deeluxe thermofit liners are only available in "full" sizes, other makes are available in "halves" as well, which, with the possible intervention of a bootfitter, might just get you enough "wiggle room" to make it work.

It`s not funny :-) The guy you met in Zinal ( wearing soviet army hat ) visited professional bootfitter...result was disappointing...the bootfitter said that boot is very small :-) the boot is for 300MP the feet is 300MP :-)
