Winter starts today!

Post by Schneewurm » Monday 30 November 2009, 8:47

Some heartfull late autumn weeks have been gone and wintertime start right today!

After Swoard was presenting the new Dual and CERN was retrying again to produce black holes, I can watch now how snow is falling, out of my room.
It's realy every Year a special day, if you open the windows in the morning and you can watch snow is falling.
Some mountains get last days about a plus of 100 cm of new snow, which is now on continuing by 5 to 10 cm each other hour. So I'm looking forward for my powdersnow season!
Gliding on Snowboards,
like Pogo, Kessler, Virus, Hot, Nidecker and others,
from 151 up to 183 cm and 14 to 27.4 cm width,
covering any kind of shapes with
any kind of boots and bindings.

Andematt-Gotthard this morning: 100 cm on 1400 m (see picture below).
Up to 180 cm of fresh snow on 2000 m.

It looks like Santa Claus needs a well running sledge this Year.

harald was talking here
I think now people of Norway knows very well, what can be done on fresh fluffy powdersnow reaching up the hip. If I read sometimes what's going on on German section of the forum, it's not alltime a thing of obviousness.
