Hi everyone,
It's about time for me to buy new shoes and bindings and I'm not sure what to buy. I want to do only Extreme Carving with my new setup.
I have a Swoard 175XH board.
I weigh just over 100 Kilogram.
I'm 195cm tall.
I'm thinking about buying F2 bindings as they have a good build quality. But I'm not sure which one to buy. Are the step-in bindings good for Extreme Carving? Do I need the Intec RS, the Intec Titanflex or the Intec Titanium? Or should I stay away from step-in bindings and go for the Race Titanium or Carve RS? (http://www.f2-snow.com/wi0910/htdocs/bi ... ?setnav=22).
Also, which shoes shoeld I buy. I read on the forum that they should not be too stiff. However, I'm quite tall and heavy, so I don't want to buy shoes that are too soft. Which shoes would you recommend for me? The Deeluxe Track 700, the Deeluxe Track 325, the Deeluxe Track 225 or the Head Stratus Pro?
Thank you (merci) for any advise that you can give me.
Jeremy

Boots are pretty much about personal preference and foot shape. You should try a few to see which one really fits you. At your size / weight I would not be affraid going for a stiff one. I'm 188cm / 90kg and don't feel the Deeluxe Track 700 stiff, while others would say it is a quite stiff boot.
As for the bindings there are several 'schools'. Some would go for nothing else but plate systems, some would advise to buy a binding that is flexible, while others would suggest to buy a binding which has a symmetrical footprint (not like conventional bindigs as F2s).
Step-ins are comfy but typically more rigid then standard ones. Also step-ins need a bit more care.
If you don't race, plates will not do too much for you. I'm a great believer of symmetrical footprint + floating systems like Bomber's, because they do not limit the board bending that much compared to conventional bindings. Also, they put less stress on the board.
I think there is a good summary on boots and bindings here https://extremecarving.com/tech/mat.html and here http://www.alpinecarving.com/bindings.html + http://www.alpinecarving.com/boots.html.
