On the Swoard home page below:

Where to test a SWOARD ?

You have 4 ways to test the famous SWOARD Extremecarver:

1) Contact one of our dealers in France, Russia, South Korea and the United States. These dealers also act as test centers. In Switzerland, you have to go to Zinal (region of Valais) after contacting the Swoard team. Addresses on page "Price and dealers".

2) Visit us at the "Extremecarving Session", our annual SWOARD meeting in Zinal, Switzerland, and exchange experiences or learn from the Swoard Team as well as from the attendees (220+). Next event will be held from January 30 to February 1, 2010. More than 30 boards will be available on site during these SWOARD TEST DAYS. For more information, go to the "Events" section of this Website.

3) Find a friend who is a proud owner of a Swoard :-) On the Forum you may also find a "Swoarder" who lives in your region. Important though, he or she must have a similar body height and weight as you, as the board is available in 3 sizes and 5 flexes. Do not test a board with a size and or a flex that does not suit you.

4) Buy a board online! :-) The vast majority of the riders love it and therefore the risk of being disappointed is very small. Use it by following the technical advices and tricks given on this Website. Should you not be satisfied, you can always easily resell it (for instance in the "Announcements" section of the Forum).

Bravo Roelh, it was a test to check if you read the pages in details! :D

More info coming this week on the page Events: a few things will change in comparison to last year, with the idea to still improve the quality of the event despite the big number of participants.

Great to hear that the event will take place in the old, good ZINAL.
It is a kind of home for the boarders I think.

We will wait patiently for the news and will be there the 5 of us.

And don't forget to inform Stéphane Albasini for to add the date to Zinal's Brochures!
It's a good idea for this time, if he anounce this international event in all 3 languages, and not only in French, like last Year!

Well, it depends on snow-conditions! If there is 350 cm of snow and the rest of Switzerland is at only 35 cm, that would be a must for me traveling to Zinal.

Yes it's great, if so many guests will join Switzerland for to go for Extreme-Carving in Zinal. You know in Switzerland we do whatever it takes to make your holiday perfect. (see picture 1 below!)

And Yes, there must be some good locations in Zinal for to ride on a snowboard. Some weeks ago on the printed magazine 30° / isue No. 28 / autumn 2009 ( http://www.30grad.ch / http://www.30degres.ch/ ) was a nice report with tips and hints for the perfect ridings in Zinal. (see picure 2 below).

One very astonishing thing was for me the 3. excellent possibility for to do carving like flat there in Zinal. It seems no one has writing about it before on the Swoard-forum. Watch the 3. picture! Wouldn't it be a good location for to ride there. The wall of Lake Moiry offers about 150 m of highness at a suitable steepness. O.k. thats some dozens meter less then the well known slopes, but I think that downhill would give me also some heartfull rides.

So, I hope I dind't wrote somethings about secret spots where the Swoard team is training their skill for to be brilliant on both well known carving slopes. And if it was secret, please dont't hit me, hit the 30° magazine!

:D Those pictures don't show enough to reveal where the best spots are and how to access them. ;-)

You are right, it is snowing less there (in the center of the Alps) than in some other areas. There are too many 4000m high mountains, blocking the clouds. The snow is falling more in the pre-Alps.
So it is a bad idea to come to my place. ;-)

Squeezing out a straight forward and short answer from Schneewurm is more difficult than doing a 720 with a GS board.....
