Yep, indoor snow is nice and cool. However. I'am already looking forward to the real thing.

Did you now that summer training works also very well with a long board on wheels? On a regular basis we (3 Swoard Dutchies from Woerden) go down of a viaduct doing some nice 'carving' on wheels.

You can do this, even on the longboard, but you have to ensure proper settings to make uphill ride easer.

This does not make you closer to linked full laydown turns, unfortunately. But is a good excercise to keep you fit

So what a nice and warm weather now! E.g. see newspapers:
September 1. in Sierre@ +33.5° - The warmest start of September since decades
Mutch more in the north, at Bludenz, beside Silvretta-Nova it was a bit fresher @ +31.9°. Kitzbühel (Skiresort) was at 30.2°. Now one or two days follow with fresher weather, but next week the dry and hot weather will come back (+27° in the north at least!)

For older men, with higher budget (and weaker bones, like carvers e.g. in Sölden) I can recommend http://www.street-luge.com/ for to be more layed down at high speed (up to 90km/h) to the ground - even on steep streets with a lot of 180° curves and elevations like Rettenbach!

I use slalom skateboard for cone racing which is 71 cm lenght. So my preferred settings work best for this. And also for relaxed city pumping It is not necessary that my recommendation are the last truth, but it`s my only personal experience. I ride speedboard that copy Landyahtz Eva - works really well with similar settings, feets just stay as on shorter skate, more to the front of the deck.

I made rear truck very stable to be able pump the board by rear leg.
I leaned rear part(with wheels) of truck off the deck and install stiff bushings. I avoid stiffing the bushings by excessive kingpin tightening.

For front truck bushings has to be softer than for rear one, leaning is the same as for rear truck - rear part (with bushings) of the truck off the deck. This kind of setting is somehow reduces stability of front truck if you do speed downhilling. Settings has to be adjusted for higher speed. I would say more than 30 km/h.

I use different truck angles for front and rear truck. More base angle for front truck. 45 vs 30
