Next generation Swoard boarders

Post by rstalfoort » Friday 6 February 2009, 11:02

T-shirts look great, don't they.

They wouldn't take them off. Now it's only waiting for the "Child Swoards" to arrive :D :D

Cheers,
See you all next year

Olive's daughter is 12 years old and is riding her own Swoard! :D

The flexes S and XS for the Swoard 161 are perfect for the young riders, or the light girls! 8)

For the kids we should make a 145 or a 110. ;-)

Carving - Youngsters!

Have a look to this little boy. He is just 11.
I saw him this winter on the playground and I asked him if he could present his board for a photo.
He very proudly shows me his fine carving-tool. (look to his face/smile!) The playground was next to a restaurant, where his parents drunks some coffee. As I talked to them, they say to me, he is the only member of the family who ride a raceboard. The parents and all other childrens are skiing. The boys big dream for ever, was to carve on a raceboard (invited perhaps by the curve of the slide on background of the photo?) and so he started with a secondhand Oxess children-board.

This is really cool! 8)

These young boys and girls are our future! :D
The main difficulty is to find (not too) hard boots for them. If it was easier, for sure we would get much more young alpine snowboarders!

Sam, I agree, you are as old as you feel.
And as long as we go for it we inspire the younger.
My youngest son came to Zinal and got full of the EC.
My grand children are watching the movies and say:"Wow, that 's cool, I want to learn that too!"

So, I am sure, there is a new generation extreme carver in the make!!

I was open to each ways reducing or making my angle higher to reduce my pain so terrible she is....

I got now my confirmation as i did some test during ECS2009 especially done to test my knee pain.

I am 165 cm - 38 feet size and tried during ecs 2009 monday morning with patrice and jack. ( ha ha ha just so proud to get the privilege to have the 2 best teacher in the world) So i tested a 168S to get lower angle and see if my knee pain is going better or worse.

The result was just so cool, I rode with 0 pain and did impressive improvement on my backside in only a few hours practice

168 s Front angle 42 ° - back 37° was just a dream
161 m Front angle 46 ° - back 41° knee pain

I dont' think i will buy a 168 S because of the length but secretly hope and pray every evening before going to bed

" My god bless my family and ask Jack to bluid a special 161 ultra WIDE range. Please...."

cheers,

sam
