Hello all!

Here are the details of the ECS '09 organized by SWOARD snowboards!

Web page Events.

Official registration and "packages" red and blue, program, accommodation, etc.: ECS '09 (PDF document, 316 KB)

Important: you will have to contact the Reservation Center (which is NOT in Zinal) to buy your package red or blue BEFORE the event .
In Zinal it will be too late: the skipasses are sold at normal price only...
During the event, each participant will have a red or blue strap on the wrist to access the stand, the dinner, etc. and to buy cheap drinks or to get free goodies.

Don't forget to add your names in the other thread with the list of participants to inform the community about your participation.
All questions can be asked in this thread below!

Here we go! The Reservation Center can be called by phone to purchase your package (BEFORE the meeting! No sales in Zinal because the Reservation Center is NOT in Zinal) and could help you for your accommodation if you don't have one yet.

You also can ask questions below, or organize car sharing in other threads.

If it's your first participation, here is the location of Zinal in the canton of Valais! Follow the highway Geneva-Lausanne-Sion-Sierre until "Sierre-Ouest". Take the exit "Val d'Anniviers" and then follow the direction "Zinal".

Further to east, in the next valley, people don't speak French but Swiss German...

And the tourist office works really fast. I made my reservation by email
on Friday and got the voucher today by surface mail.

HI GUYS !!

J-6 before ECS.

Just wanted to remind you that you need all to take with you the confirmation of THE RESERVATION center to exchange this confirmation against your ski passes.

Just for your information : this year the first cable car for participant is 8h30 !!! not before !
Only the instructor team and the swoard team will take go up before 8h30 with the employee of Sorebois.

I am really sorry guys but it will be not necessary to try to enter into the reserverd cable car in the morning i will be really strict on that.
It's an organisation matter and we expect you to understand and respect this.

it worked for me only with my passport last year. Nevertheless it's kind of irregular, and so I would call touris office and ask for confirmation (either via mail to somewhere ot to your hotel).

don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I will need a trip from Zinal on Monday morning to the railway station in Sierre. I need to get the train at 10:30. I booked my room at the Besso's. The bus is leaving at 6:15 on monday morning which is a bit early (the next bus will arraive to late). I don't like the idea of getting up so early just to wait some 3 hours in Sierre. So if someone can give me lift please send me a private email. Don't know how easy it is to get a taxi from Zinal to Sierre...

ok you are already in switzerland but you can call COEUR du VALAIs and ask them if your reservation is confirmed.

If your reservation has been booked correctly just ask them to send a copy of your confirmation to the reception of your hotel or to the tourist office in Zinal or to the start of the cable car in Zinal.

All ways are possible: by fax, by e-mail or by post I think the choice is quite large :O)

We are going to face a problem: the main hall for the dinner has only 224 chairs!

So please, the last persons who have not yet given their names in the list, do it now so we can exactly know what's going on.
