ECS book

Post by vkrouverk » Tuesday 25 November 2008, 22:17

"For five years small Swiss village Zinal has hosted ECS.
These events were made memorable by beautiful scenery, sunshine and people, sharing same passion for snowboard carving.
This small book tries to share some of the captured moments with you."

This is introduction to my ECS book, which can be ordered from blurb printing service.
Book size is 20x25 cm (8x10") and it contains 80 pages with photos + photos for front and back cover.
Book contains riding and group images from 2006, 2007 and 2008 sessions.
Prices for book are Blurb "base" prices and with premium paper they are following:
Softcover EUR 21,95 USD 27.95
Hardcover, Dust Jacket EUR 30,95 USD 40.95
Hardcover, ImageWrap EUR 32,95 USD 43.95
See blurb page for final price (which takes into account shipping and taxes).

If you are interested, what's inside, then blurb has preview and in my homepage are images from book displayed:

This is my second attempt in book printing and it seems better than first one. I'm not completely satisfied with result as colors seem to be little bit off (but this is probably my mistake, I have to delve into magic depths of color management more seriously) and there is no comments/storyline. Still, I think that it's nice companion on those non-riding evenings along with vin chaud and good music. :P

If you decide to order this book, then feedback is appreciated!

P.S. If you want to get this book by christmas, then order it in this week: blurb print times are quite long and before christmas they will be probably longer, also postal service takes some time. I placed my order on Nov, 6th, book was printed and shipped on Nov, 14th and I received it on Nov, 24th (with standard shipping). Blurb has also "calculator", which shows when order should be placed in order to receive it by Christmas.

It is very healthy. If you will be in Zinal, bring this work there. I shall buy necessarily.

I got this book last summer and I recommend it to everyone! :bravo:
Good quality, excellent pictures and something to show to your visitors who have no idea of what can be done with an alpine snowboard! 8)
