Istvan - everyone in this world can claim such an achievement :-) Our shares not widely quoted in the market - but our product price drop almost 3 times by 4 month

Okay... but I work for one of the largest financial institutions in the world... so believe me, this drop hurts quite a lot of people and their wealth... ;-)

Nice, calm and sunny Sunday-rides!

As a people, who has not an exclusive demand of riding high class carving boards, I didn't park today a car on 1377 meter over sealevel like in Soelden. So I'm standing on a parking area 100 m lower, just on 1277 m, fully accorded to my lower demands.
Ok, for many peoples now adays, they need realy higher demands, they go up to high mountains like stonefields of Gigijoch 2525 m, for riding on 65 cm snow, like some fresh powder-snow on a artifical snow-layer (for other peoples, higher stations, like Kaunertal/ Andermatt/ Engelberg, were closed today, due the danger of avalanches).
I myself felt very satisfied to stay on low level on grassfields for 65-70 cm of fresh, all pure natural snow on parking area 1277 m (see picture 1) !
This way is ok, nothing could stop me to be in confidence with some heartly rides on a nice area this Sunday, without missing some other local hardbooters. You know, that's only just a basic demand of any authentic and brand-independent-thinking carver in Switzerland!

Ahhh, nearly I forgot one important thing: There was "start of season", so the whole day taking a lift was for free!

I had my first day too that felt like winter for this season (there were a few days in october already). But no skifield near me was open so I had to hike up the Rax with snowshoes.

Unluckily snow was so deep and dry, that it felt like swimming while walking up with my snowshoes. I scored 3 great rides of about 400m vertical and 200m return to carpark, for a whole day working on trying to get up the mountain in mostly 1-2m of dry powder. The descents were marvellous, sinking in upto my waist on my 2m longboard. -15° and wind gusts that made the dry powder flyaround the mountain like powder avalanches meant that good clothing was a must. Also carrying a longboard on the backpack was a bit of pain, because the wind several times just dipped me over if I didn't lie down fast enough to the ground when I could see it approach.

I definitely need a splitboard. Touring skiers hat a much easier day than I on going up.

Next week I go Friday to Sunday with lift assist. Yehaa.

Yes, this conditions should be enjoyed!

Touring skiers are at any conditions much more energy saving then snowshoes and of course way faster to climb up.
I can just watch my todays touring ski tracks from my keyboard!

Splitboard or split-skis and a good powder-snowboard?

This is a provoking question :-) He does not accept using chairlifts - this is running on the electriciy which is produced with environmental pollution of CO2 and some other stuff.

Canceled - no boarding on Friday - slopes are prepared well and the are now empty, clear sight - up to 100 km, but almost cloudy sky for the whole day - no improvement, compared to the last two days.

@pietrob
Just stay in bella Italia and enjoy your gran paradiso, like I did once! There are hundreds of nice ski-areas in Italy too and heavy snowfall is now anounced.

@kurtsk8
Picture was token about 30 to 50 m beside slope and skilift!

@starikashka
No produced electricity out of fossil material in Switzerland. Switzerland stoped electricity production from that, like gas/ coal/ oil in the last century. The only one, now not working oil-powerstation in Chavalon, you can watch when you join ECS-2009 comming from Geneva to Zinal. Look at the right side up to the mountains after Geneva lake.

Well Switzerland is now some steps ahead. If You join World-Carving-Session in Davos you will be probable transported with some electricity produced from bio-gas (Davos Biogas GmbH, Davos Dorf). Biologic gas is comming from leftover food from restaurants and other biologic things and is CO²-equivalent.

If you think carefully there are basically only two possibilities how Schneewurm can snowboard all the time.

1. He has won a lot of money somewhere somehow.
2. He works in the snowboard industry, maybe has his own snowboard shop but due his provocations he prefers not to tell anyone about it.

I'm for the latter.
