My understanding is that Titanal dampen the vibrations, making the board calmer (and less lively) when the surface is not so good. As I understand that is why titanal is preferred in raceboards due to the dual racing format where the course goes worse and worse during the competition and the objective is to stay on feet in the ruts rather than increase speed. You do not find titanal and metal to the same degree in racing skis where some vibration absorption is needed but where also the kick out of the turns in order to accelerate (GS and SL) is wanted.
I have not experience with titanal boards, but I like the kick Swoard gives after a succesful turn. However, this kick also makes it more difficult to handle the board in narrow sections of the slopes and when it gets bumpy.

Harald is right as usual. Ammount of dampening versus kick can be adjusted in building phase. As well dampening/kick balance between nose and tail of board.

Another swoard tool option (from watching caspercarver's latest video): board with round tail for easier ride and ocassional backward carving. Could go along with all-mountain board.

For these current Swoard works well, as seen in Zinal, and on ROTLC-film

It will make board working much better when things get rough. Difference is not so big on perfect surface.
So if I understand, Titanal is a good think on 4WD board ?
