Does any of you fellow carvers ever thought that your board is long??
Really long...????
Just have a look on Doug's new toy....
Tinkler 283cm...!!!!
Mind that the last one on the right is a 202cm one looking like a slalom stick.
For goodness shake men this is

I don't get it: the board you're riding on the pic has one Tinkler sign on the nose, the longest on the second pic has two... so what is the 282 one? the "never ridden" or the "shorter one"
Greetz max
PS: why was there none of these long sticks been at the SES? I would have so much loved to try one *still crying*

Just fun, as my Schtubby is. You must be a snowboardgeek to have such boards.

Those Tinklers are very easy to board. Even on slush when the temps gets high, this board is my favourite. But also in the hardpack, due to the long length and weight, these board stick like glue. Mine has 15 m radius.
By changing the screws of the sticks of the board you can modify the stiffness.
(I have a Titanal Tinkler 203cm system, it fits in my roofbox)

How wide does the slopes have to be to ride this giant?
Can't imagine that a board of 282cm has a small radius.
Yet, would be nice to try it

There was one for sure in the SES but unfortunately the fellow broke his leg on the first day, talking about Bryan Sutherland.I don't know if you heard it.
Second, not everybody's cup of tea and they are very expensive.
I don't think that would be any of them out for try out. I wouldn't think letting mine also.
They are unique and they sale by their reputation. Also there isn't a web site they're made directly by Mike Tinkler by some like secret e-mail.
I have to second to Hans about the board behavior, easiness and versatility of such a long stick worth every single penny.

I know that the 252 has 19m SCR which is not to much for it's size.
I have Doug in a short clip riding his 252 and the slope isn't wide.
Unfortunately I have it in my job computer.
If I was capable to ride such a board my only concern would have been how to stop it in the end of the slope or if somebody appears ahead.
There's no skidding in such lengths.
Also they are super fast boards.

Yes heard about him and saw his transport. Still feel sorry for him and wish him all the best and a fast recovery! As for his board, it was not such a long stick, as the 2.5m, wich i would like to try for one or two runs, but buying one... don't think its worth the money for me (one, max. two boards for all)

So there is no test-possibility for such a toy... what a pity
