Just look over your shoulder, take a leap of faith, push and lay back... the rest is done by gravity... ;-)

Actually you can practice the laid backsides on flat terrain. Just try to gain sufficient speed and do 1 laid turn. Just like many people do with fronstides when they reach the pub at the bottom of the slopes... ;-)

Then it feel more comfy once you get to try it on steeper slopes.

Cheers

bending

Harald,
thanks again for your explanation!
Yours together with Skywalkers gave me something to think about an put into practice. We went to the slope today (not steep enough, but better than nothing at all) and did what we could. I keep the picture in my mind of you coming down the Bartholomy, nice and smooth, no speed at all.
For the first time I could feel the difference between my F2 and the SWOARD. I missed the real cutting in the snow, my board kept on slyding away when I wanted to give it 90degr and go low.
But ... it is getting better and better and preseverence overcomes all things! Don't you agree?
My Swoard will be ready next week :D , so I will be able to use it after Easter I think. Cannot wait.
To all who want to learn: Good Luck and don't give up!

flat terrain

Starikaschka,
Istvan is wright! You can train very well on flat terrain. An even when it is only ONE laid turn. If many singles go well you will fee comfy to do them linked one day.

starikaschka, my father use to say:"Who wants to be beautifull must suffer pain."
In other words, if you want something you have to be prepared to do something for it.
