Hi there Samantha,
it gives me the shivers to see you... in a positive way ofcourse.
I am sure that training is the only way to succeed, that is way I was on the indoor slope today. Although it isn't steep enough I can train the laid turns concerning technique. I promised some people to go with them of the Bartholome next year, this mean a lot of work in progress. And one thing... I WILL SUCCEED...
Concerning your airbags: honor them because new ones are not what they promise to be. Real is the best!
Be proud to be such an example to womankind, I will do the utmost to follow you,
Viviane.

ohh nooo Viviane nooo..  my god....

a such of example for women kind is really too too much.

Extremecarving frontside is easier as you can imagine !

I just wanted to inform all the women here that all of you can play with her snowboard like patrice and jack .

The first time I contacted Swoard I had a small discussion with Nils about extremecarving and women.
At that time !! He said to me : Sincerly said, I dont' know if our chart is also good for women riders. We don't know if Women have enough power in the legs to ride extremecarving. We cannot test the 161 S M H flex. We gave these 161 extremecarvers to small men for testing and the feedback is good but I cannot certify anything.

Now we have this answer. YES!!!! Women can do extremecarving turns.
without any problems or without any special physical condition or preparation. We are stronger than mens think about us. The size/flex chart is also good for women riders and I can certify that the sensation when you are on the snow is really fantastic !!!

All women will for sure not succeed. You must like to test new things and first of all fight against fear.

Good luck Girls !

You need appropriate safety gear to make frondside laydowns :-) I`ve seen ladies doing carving in bomberstyle which is not easier than EC, so you should not be worry about possibility to do EC :-) Training and safety gear helps :)

Pictures looks good :-) I`m started EC this winter, unfortunately weather did not allow me to master backside this year :-))) yet
i`m learning

airbags

Post by Viviane » Saturday 1 March 2008, 8:59

Hi Sam,
hope you didn't misunderstand me. I was just joking hé. Must be possible in this all to serious life don't you think?

What the EC concerns, I'am pretty sure that women can manage as well as men. though I could feel I had to work harder with the SWOARD than with my F2 Silber. In a couple of weeks my own SWOArRD 161M will arrive and I can start training on it. Which one do you like most. The M or the S flex? I didn't get the opportunity to try the S. But according to the chart I need the M (1m63, 63kg,mondo less than 29).
We will see. I hope I can join you next year   , I will realy train hard.

Hi Viviane,

I know you was joking...
The S was good to start but at the end I use only the M flex.
I feel more confortable and more security. The S flex is really to soft for me but even the flex is too soft I can do Extremecarving frontside turns. This is really not a problem but the curve is so stretch that the time laid on the snow is really to short.
I use the S flex on really Icy snow and in that case I have too much fear to do extremecarving.

Hi starikashka,
I am not worry about my laydowns turns. It's also possible to do ec without training and safety gear. The pictures here are the proof. I am only using the dainese 3 elbow gards.
I tried some other safety protection but I feel not enough confortable to ride like I want.

Let's go girls !!! training training training !!!

Nice carving to all of you !

I advise you to think to patrice and jack.

Maybe just think about them can help you to do best extremecarving turns than me.

I would be happy next year to see other extremecarving girls !!! and discuss about our girl technique.

I would be also happy to see the pictures of other Extremecarving girls to compare with mine.
Particularly, check on your pictures if your snowboard is bent into the turns.

On soft or hard snow my swoard 161 m or s were never so bent!!

board curve

Post by Viviane » Sunday 2 March 2008, 12:31

Hi Sam,
that's indeed "curved".
Is this due to the flex or the power you put onto it or the technique or alle three of them combined?

Hi Viviane,

I really don't know ...

The S flex is 60 x too soft for me and my snowboard is never bent.

That's the reason why... after 2 years of extremecarving training, I think that Girls are riding with a different technic than all the men here. I don't have the proof of this theory.

By my opinion only, I think that I probably use some unconscius hocus -pocus to compensate my lack of power. Which one ? good question ! I don't know.

Jack could analyse my riding style but it's difficult to give an opinion with only 1 girl !!!
It would be good to have the opinion of Mister Jack on this subject and that's the reason why I ask all the women here : training training training !! And than he will be able to give the result of his analysis.

go go go girls

ec girls

Post by Viviane » Sunday 2 March 2008, 16:08

Hi Sam,
well you've given me one MORE reason to keep on training. We will give Jacques the opportunity to analise girls way of EC.
I'll ask my husband to film while training but I still have to do hard work to get your level. I will give the upmost of myself.

To all the other EC-girls, come on let them see what we can do :!: :!:
