Swiss Mike wrote:Yes you can purchase the packages if you already have an accomodation.

If you hadn't one before booking the packages, you can book an accomadation through the tourist office (everything is centered there).
Thanks!

- Basic programming language by Kemény János,
- dynamo by Jedlik Ányos,
- helicopter by Kármán Tódor,
- H-bomb by Teller Ede,
- holographics by Gábor Dénes,
- talking film by Mihály Dénes,
- camera - Mihályi József,
- Neumann-principles (actually tha basics of the computer) by Neumann - János,
- carburator by Bánki Donát,
- sparkling water by Jedlik Ányos,
- electrical transformator by Bláthy Ottó
- electric train by Kandó Kálmán
- alu aerostat (known as Zeppelin) by Schwarcz Dávid,
- matches by Irinyi János,

And there are many others, but a few of the aboce are really surprising, huh? They are just seemlessly surrounding us...

EC seems to be an exception as we do not really have mountains... ;-)

Cheers

Funny, that every country has it's own inventors for almost everything. Please see more objective sources here:

That's pretty stupid, as everybody knows, that all these things were invented by Germans :P

Hi Tom,

I know that German people are known of being very thorough and that is why we like them and their products ;-)

Thanks for the additional links, and indeed, most of the modern things have been invented by several groups of people in several phases and sometimes even paralelly by different scientist.

As for the links you cited:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_bulb - indeed, the light bulb is much older, the HU guy was pinoeering in the mass production of the wolfram bulbs, pls see http://www.tungsram.hu/tungsram/downloa ... 6-1996.pdf

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron_bomb - I actually mentioned the H-bomb, but also the guy who first experimented with the nuclear chain reaction was called Szilárd Leó, an other Hungarian. Pls see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Szilard

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicopter - you are again right, the first drawings were done by Leonardo. The HU guy was part of the project to build the first mass production one in 1917 called PKZ (Petroczy-Karman-Zurovec)

And to also add the negatives: unfortunately most of the Hungarian talent left the country to US, GB and other countries and progressed a lot in those countries with their inventions.... seemingly we can give birth to the talent and can educate them, but then cannot really retain them... :-(

Cheers
