Any tips on preventing anterior shoulder dislocation when the hands are on the snow and any glitch could drive the hand back and potentially dislocating the shoulder?
To me that is the most dangerous part of EC, other than other skiers/boarders not seeing you because you are so low.

Hi drzone,
It's true that the shoulders are quite exposed in EC. Especially in backside.
It happens sometime, but I never get hurted.
To me, no problem when the grooming is perfect. The danger comes from snow heeps that "catch" your hand.
If you have sensitive shoulders, I have 2 recommandations:
- don't lay down when the snow heeps are too high.
- try to develope the muscles of your shoulders. Push-ups is a perfect exercise for that.
