Hey,
I am experimenting with a cheep but good looking stuff. Its official use is mainly in bathrooms and kitchens to fill gaps between the tiles or in the corner. Most probably you'll have the same stuff where your bathtub meets the wall.
Do not ask me for its English name.... It is a silicone based rubber available in many colors (in black and fully transparent as well), usually comes in 500 ml tubes like on the attached pic. You should be able to buy it in shops for paint / tile professionals. It is cheap, the 500 ml tube is 2-3 EUR, the tool is like 6-8 EUR.
It is not a glue, but you can spread it evenly and smoothly like butter on the bread with a spatula. I would not suggest it for small repairs, rubber based glue is more efficient for that, but it is great for larger areas. A thin layer hardens in 10-15 minutes. When it hardens it looks like and behaves like silicone rubber.
I do not know how resistant it is to wear, but will test it soon. Will let you know.
Best
ps.: No need to say that after Zinal many of us has many things to repair...

Just scanned through the SIKA products, I think they no longer use the Sikaflex 252 name, but it's either the Sikaflex 11 FC or the Sikaflex Marine.
I'm not sure, but I think its the 11 FC.

Jacques uses SikaLatex on clothes. I have also used it on jacket sleeves and pants (left side for regular boarding) for protection. The stuff is liquid and applied with a brush.

Istvan,
Yes. In spite of being an additive to concrete Sicalatex provides a pretty hard and elastic coating to the textile. However the surface also will be either a little bit dull or shiny, dependent on the texture of the material. For very fine textures, as on my jacket, the Sicalatex gives a protective layer that wears off and has to be reapplied from time to time. On my previous jacket of a more rough textile, it sort of hardened the material. In both cases Sicalatex prevented the jacket from being torn up just after a few runs. And since I fall a lot in the heelturns Sicalatex also helps me keeping the pants for at least one season (I am often at the slopes, maybe 40-50 times a season). Otherwise, they weare out pretty soon. It was Jacques that recommended this liquid to me.

- This should give an idea of how Sicalatex looks on the jacket. See the rectangles.

Thanks Harald.
Nils: Beauchat (I hope the spelling is correct) has fully transparent diving suit glue (polyurethane). Technisub has a nice shiny black one. Plus as I wrote above the silicone stuff is available in many colors.
So there is help.
Ciao

@ István : for gloves, you can use POLYGLUT/AQUAGLUTENE. Definitely tested & approved by many ECarvers

Don't laugh at me, it seems rather weird but these soccer protection work quite efficiently on top of your mucho euros Mammut sleeves. They're not expensive at all and you can even choose the color. What else, besides the sarcasms of your girfriend ? But who cares, we're not in the fashion business are we?

Istvan,
I'm afraid silicon rubber will not adhere a long time on your gloves. Let us know !
Personnally, I use leather pieces glued with neopren on gloves, arm.
4 seasons on gloves without problem. Leather is very very wear resistant.

I bought Sikalatex last week at Leroy Merlin (500ml, 7€).
It's look like milk when you apply it on jacket, but after 2 hours it's transparency.

For my gloves I used specific plastic beads (the one that melts easily in boiling water for different repairs) and apply it on finger tips and palm.
It's very resistant and slides very well on snow.
