Hello,

my answer my come too late but, anyway : YES there are good carving possibilities at l'Alpe d'Huez.

First and most obvious : "LE STADE" ("the stadium"), on the left-most side of the resort. Dedicated to carving, also not as steep as one may wish.

Other possibility is to cross to Auris (a connected resort nearby), to the slope of "FRONTFROIDE" that is nice steep and clean carving slope.

Unfortunately, snow is poor these days at Alpe d'Huez :( so you might not be able to carve much...

Pray for snow before getting there.

My 2 cents.
