Post by glzal » Thursday 12 October 2006, 22:48

Hi all!
does someboby know if Olive is going to make some boards this year?
we have already 5 mucho 191 in total, but probably will need 2 more.
Always not easy to get in contact with him, so if you have any update about his plans....
many thanks, Alberto

well talked to him the other day:
- he is looking for a place to put his workshop
- he is looking forward to make boards again
- he is motivated to finish the prototyping of the tekila 215cm too!

until then: no further news, but he knows we are waiting!

Miura: No news as of today, i need to call Olive to get updates.
Freesurf: Company went out of business in 1996-97. Now their creators are in two brands: Boheme, and Phénix Snowboards. Alas they stopped making alpine boards long ago.

Phenix,
I've seen Seb, he continues his new carbon swallow tails with Phenix.
He has made a good deal last year.
No issue to order one except that he doesn't speak english!
BTW, he doesn't advertise a Board: so it can be difficult to buy one! :)

Site:
http://www.phenix-snowboards.com/
Last gear is a 183 Carbon swallowtail

He lent me a Carbon 173: this is very vigorous.
Looks to me that Carbon made are better for Speed than "all wood" boards.
Shape is the same then Boheme (2003-2004): efficient as it was!

So, Maybe:

or even for snowkite!

For me (using hardboots) too short the 175 ant too large the 191!
