from Kirkwood California on Monday. I am running 64 front and 60 rear at 19.5 wide 33 inch inseam. Feels like more angle could help roatate hips for deeper carves?
It looks like I am reaching for the snow on FS, and rotating shoulders but not hips on BS. Any coaching would be appreciated. I had so much fun this day!
Learning Bomber style first, any tips?

Don't know why, but images are visible only with IE so I had to start IE for seeing them (I normally use Mozilla) and then IE shows some "proof" text over pics
.
I'm not sure that you need more angles, you have them steep enough and increasing them would mean that you'll lose power from edge. Just keep angles as low as it's possible without overhang.
Try to start turns from hips and knees, driving knees more into turn. And your position seems to be OK for bomber style (body aligned with bindings, just except for first pic), just add more angulation (especially on frontside turns) and knee bending.
NB! Take my advice with grain of salt, as I'm not very much carver, even more so with bomber style. I'm sure, that if you ask from bomber community, you'll get more professional tips.
But main thing is that you had fun!

Converting potential energy to kinetic..
I think you just missed a good opportunity to ask your question on the slope!!! You were in company of some of the smoothest west coast EC carvers that day...Jim Farr and a certain Peter Vu.

Carve Diem
Doh...! I didn't even think to ask.
Lucky I live right near Jim! Good point though, probably much easier to coach in the moment. This was the first day I really got comfortable on my new gear, and also the firs pics I have gotten to see. Ill ask Jim and Peter though
Hi Ryan
It was nice meeting you on the slope.
You are an amazing carver providing that you have only spent 2-3 days on alpine gear. You are now rising the star at KW.....
You are right, you rotated your shoulders but not your hips.
I'm not sure whether you can lower any further you angles as you may boot out. Lower angles (I think) would help free up your upper body which remains "locked" with higher angles.
Also I think you have graduated from the Flying Carpet and are good enough to venture to steeper slopes and that's where you will find out in what technical area you need to improve.

ps: say hi to Kipsar (spelling?). Is he on alpine gear yet?
