Here is a fun pic i just scanned. Its from 1989 ( pic must have been taken the previous season ( 87-88 ).
What we see is what was hype then: the infamous SX91 equipe on the front foot, the emery bindings with the mandatory rubber band so it does not open when you push it hard ( because of the rubber dampener, they used to open alone in frontsides!). The back boot is either a Koflach or maybe a dynafit backcountry boot. It was suppose to be way softer and the front boot would do the control! I can't believe I also had the same setting, but the 91 were too expensive, so I only had the SX61 ( great comfy ski boot too)..
Not sure what the board real brand is.. swell made only wear.

Hey -- I still have a pair of the SX91 gathering dust in my basement. How do you think it would look on my soon to be delivered Swoard?? He, he, . . .

Here's a pic of myself, approximately from 1990. Crazy Banana, Koflach Valluga Touring Boots, and my good old blue overall...

It reminds of my first snowboard experience from the early nineties when I had to borrow every piece of the equipment.... I got a grey SX boot, do not remember which model it was, I think I had Elfgen bindings and a board with a very similar shape to this - I iron my shirts nowdays on a shape like this...
The binding broke on the first day, every piece of cloth on me got wet, but the most funny thing was that some guys from Czech thought I was from Czech, too - and they figured it out from my colorful outfit as every piece was borrowed it there were no 2 same colour pieces in my outfit.... hehe..... (sorry, no offense to Czech and Slovak fellow riders, but this really happened)
Cheers,
István

My guess is that the board is either a Mistral or a Nidecker just looking at the front tip.
My first hardboots where my Nordica ski boots with the inflatable air chamber to lock down your foot. At that time I was riding a Burton Air with Burton hard bindings (still have them on my PJ)
In terms of wear, I used motocross pants and protections. Thus I looked quite colorful too!!!
