Boots modification kit

Post by Silber » Tuesday 20 September 2005, 10:22

P J & N,

since it seem that even this year nobody will come out with revolutionary boots i have a simple request for you guys.

Could you start selling modification kits (or pray some other angel like frank to do so) for the most used hard boots like head/blax or Deeluxe so that even dumb cows/engineerly challenged people like myself can enjoy decent carving boots?

Thanks

Francesco

What is the interest in this for the Raichle boots? I have a prototype that could be implemented relatively simply. It's just expensive unless there are more than 20 sets that are produced...

hi, Dave,
just read my answere carefully: NOVEMBER.

The RABsystem of bomber is tested by several riders. So I think, I am gonna buy this system because my ridingtimes in the snow are just so precious I have no time to experiment a lot.

Hi Silber

I have already designed and built a system for Head .
You will find on this long (french) post, all needed to improve Head behaviour ...
viewtopic.php?t=1034&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=75
I can sell a complete system with installation manual.
The main tool required is a good cutter

If needed, may be I can take time to translate step by step the modification.

Are there any reviews of these riders?

Hi, Dave, no reviews yet, just watch the bombersite carefully or take a newsletter. Just for your info, what is tested by bomber is of great quality. Their service is also from outstanding quality. I have made quiet a lot of transactions with them. If there was something wrong with the package they always had a solution a their costs!! Outstanding!!

What you also can do, is send an email to bomber, you always get a reply.
I will buy the new thing anyway.

Greets, Hans.

I'm also interested, but without an English manual, I will be lost ...

Bomber RAB

Post by Arnaud » Thursday 22 September 2005, 18:42

Looks nice, but the main problem of Raichle boots remains !
The upper part of the boot describe an arc (yellow arrow) while the screw remain straight ! This system will jam, like original RAB.

It could be acceptable with little forward flex angle on Suzuka / Indy boots, but not on 12x / 32x / Le Mans with small radius (86.5 mm on right).
For EC, we need high forward flex, more than a few degrees ...

IMOH, a good system for Raichle should have two axis in order that the screw remain parallel to upper part of the boot.
