Extremecarving Session ECS '06: dates!

Post by fivat » Friday 26 August 2005, 18:35

Extremecarving Session ECS '06 - Zinal, Switzerland

Dates are: Saturday Feb 11th to Monday Feb 13th, 2006

These are the best dates because:
- it's one week before Swiss school holydays
- no paragliding event at the same time this year
- people who are interested in the Winter Olympic Games (start on 10th Feb) can then travel to Torino (Italia)
- tons of snow on middle February :-)

Please, no registration for now! No accommodation for now!
We are studying new accommodation and program this year :birthday:
Probably there will be a package: cheap skipasses, dinner at the restaurant Sorebois (2500m) in the evening, etc.

More information in October-November! 8)

Patrice

Bad news. This week end is the middle of Paris school holidays, and the first WE for another french area. I'm afraid I will not be able to come to Zinal

I have added a poll :!:

There is the possibility (to be confirmed) to organize the event the preceding week if most people prefer this.

Seems that I can join this nice event this season!!! :D
No big plans for this winter. So just thinking of winterholidays to come.
It doesn't matter which weekend it will be.

news.. but not now

Post by nils » Wednesday 5 October 2005, 8:37

we are working with office de tourisme ( tourist bureau) of Zinal on those three days ( it really seems that days are going to be 11-12-13 feb)
So all you will have to do is call the bureau, ask for the different rates / options and boom: book through them with skipasses etc

This is to be confirmed within the month ! :)
Sorry but we're pretty busy like everyone with the beginning of season, and Zinal is not in a rush ;)

Thanks Nils for all your concerns, but some people like my family have to plan their holdidays now because of other obligations like workingschemes which are gonna be made now for that period by our employers!! And also people have to plan because some people like we, have to travel two full days to attend this nice event. That's why we have to book everything in front just to be sure that all planning can be done properly without unpleasant surprises. So if you have already some clear plans made with the tourist office and also know any dates please let us know. I already made plans for that weekend you have mentioned. So I am gonna be going for Zinal that weekend anyway, but if there are some good packagedeals which will be worth while waiting, I will wait to book something if it's gonna save me some real cash!!!

Greets, Hans.
