VOTE HERE for an European Expression Session

Post by fivat » Wednesday 27 March 2002, 0:25

Tim and MennoB asked if people would be interested in an European Expression Session (EES) next year.

You can vote simply in this forum. See above.

Only the registered members can vote (once!).

Please, respond YES only if you are sure you would participate in the EES.

A meeting for carvers over few days in the same resort...
Its been done already 2 or 3 meetings like that in north america, and we think its about time for us euro carvers to do it !!

It can be very much planned, but also unformal, depending on the motivations....I'm sure if we can announce 50+ people, sponsors will start to be interested, and build up a test center etc..

After 14 days, the total vote is 17 only !

I will let the poll run until the beginning of next winter...
If we get at least 50 positive votes, it will be worth to organize an European Expression Session next year.

Please, don't hesitate to vote if not yet done!
Even if you vote no :)

location & date

Post by yyzcanuck » Tuesday 16 April 2002, 16:25

I think many people aren't voting because it isn't possible to commit 'yes' to such an unknown! As soon as a location and date are confirmed, I'll be certain to say 'yes' or 'no'.
I know of 4 people that are waiting, as I am...

NEW OPTION IN THE POLL

Post by fivat » Wednesday 17 April 2002, 12:26

The problem is that nobody will organize a meeting if there are too few people interested in such a session. But you are right yyzcanuck, how can one say yes when one doesn't know location & date! :?

This is why I added a NEW OPTION IN THE POLL right now :
"I wish to know location & date first!"

Now you can vote! :D

EES

Post by Cristan » Friday 3 May 2002, 17:53

I had been looking for an excuse to visit Europe next season, so this could be that excuse. February would be the best time for me to take some time off. It would be nice to know the dates ahead of time so arrangement could be made.

Regards,
Cristan
