Hi,
In the attempts to do the laid heel turn, I have already worn holes on two pants this season and started flossing up the third. Especially the artificial snow and the icy spring snow is hard on the fabrics. So, even if the pants are bought at heavily reduced prices on sales, or they were cheap in the first place, this is going to be expensive. Furthermore, it is a pity to throw them away because of a hole on the left side, while the rest is in a completely good shape. So now I am asking for advice to 1) fix the holes and 2) prevent the third pant to wear out so I can use the pants next winter too. I have tried with Duct (silver) tape, but it falls off and is of little help. What do you recommend to reinforce the pants on the sliding (and falling) side? The same also goes for the lower parts of the jacket sleeves.

Last year, I have tried patch glued with hot iron, but it doesn't stick enough.
This year, I found a spray, made of acrylic polymer, used to cover paper document with a plastic film. It works fine.
I know Jacques use Sikalatex, an additive for cement and concerte.

I found the spray in a supermarket .
There is no specific brand written on it. Just adress of the manufacturer (a french company).
You should find similar product in specialized shop for office or drawing supply

There is "Plasti-dip". I'm not sure this is what you are looking for. I'm using it on my jacket, pants and gloves.harald wrote:Arneaud,
Many thanks. Do you remember the brand of the acrylic polymer spray? In what kind of store did you find it?

That in the soul which is called the mind is, before it thinks, not actually any real thing.
