Nils, awesome link, thanks! But that wasn't what I was referring to. It was on your site. I thought it was in your news archives, but I didn't see it.

This week-end I did ride my Rossignol Undertaker 185 swallow tail for the first time. I mounted it with my race bindings. I can't believe how easy it is to ride. 8O

It was excelent in heavy deep snow (wich is no surprise from a swallow) even in poor off piste conditions (crud and such). But it was also very good on piste, much easier on the bumps than my GS. I loved the way you don't have to change position when you cross in-off piste. And it carved much better than any freeride board i tested. Concidering its width, i even think it should be easier for EC than my GS.
(But i can't even EC on a Swoard yet :? )

I didn't test enough boards to make an official statement. But to me a swallow tail seems to be an extremely good allround board, maybe the best. At least the Undertaker is a damn good on-piste-&-off-piste board for someone using the swiss school technique. I love it.

My next board will be a Swoard. Then i won't be needing anything else 8)

Hey Guys,

Never I ride on Swallow tail how undertaker or other brand, and really I would like to have one because of course this tipe of board is good for power, his ride position is very rear and comfy for not to ride with the nose sink in the snow.

But in really there are few days in the season with deep-snow, and you must ride just in this days only if it allow for your work, you know , and if you are in lucky, and you can ride just in this power day, only in a few hours all off-piste in the resort will be destroyed(too much board track), so at the end I finish on piste, and this is my question.

Really ,not is more versatile an board how tanker which also work very good in power and on piste (traditional design) & an swallow designed only for power?

Hola Sito,

For contact length, a swallow does not compare with a longboard. For exemple my Undertaker 185 has only 137cm of contact length, it's less than a swoard 168 8O .
So it's long but it doesn't feel long at all.
