Dimpled base

Post by Fotisa2006 » Sunday 6 March 2022, 11:08

It's the 3rd time I ride my new board and I gave it for waxing . After taking it at home I noticed some small dimples under the binding inserts . When I gave it for waxing I had taken off my bindings. Also the bolts I use are the right length . Any ideas why this happened ?
This is the reason I'm selling it after 2 uses.
I want my equipment not to have any marks of use .

Is this a 1st April fool?

Below the inserts, this is absolutely normal. Something I see for 35 years on almost all snowboards, all brands. Not seeing this is in contrary a bad sign regarding the gluing inside. When screwing the bindings, the inserts pull the base very slightly (if the gluing is perfect). This is about 0.1 mm, or less.

Hahaha the guy at the ski shop told me , mate you ruined your expensive board with wrong size bolts . Send it back to me and I will try to fix it .
Thankfully Patrice replied on the post and while the board was on the way to the repair shop I turned it back . Hahahaha . Including myself it's totally lack of knowledge at some ski shops in Greece
