Hybrid Boot on EC-Board?

Post by cmachine » Sunday 13 February 2005, 18:00

Hi

Did someone try a softboot on a Swoard?

I wonder if taken the hardest softboot on the market on a Swoard will give you enough pressure and enough flexibility at the same time.

If you browse the net for soft-boots, you will find so called "hybrid boots".
E.g.: http://www.abc-of-snowboarding.com/whatareboots.asp

Any experience with hard-softboots?

Did someone try this? If yes, let's know; may be this solves the lateral-flex-problem that still exists on all hardboots.

I'm also intetested in solutions/modifications for the lateral-flex-problem e.g. on a deeluxe hb.

regards
olaf

I've been running with my Hurricane/HBX combo :D
It works quite nicely on better snow condition but have not tested on harder surface yet due lack of time, too many new stuff to test this seson  and so many test riders on my Swoard :P
Here is pic on softs:

Pokkis, tell us more

Hi Pokkis,

Please telll us more: How were frontside turns going? I guess FS is harder to do than BS with soft boots? Are your boots very soft, soft or hard-softboots?

Could you perform EC turns?

Olaf

Frontside is not so hard for me but back side is :)
I think Hurricane/HBX combo is stiffest what F2 soft step-ins can give you.
I can not perform EC turn with these but i can not perform that in HB either  so no loss here 8O One of my many excuse is my left shoulder
When ever i have change i will do more tests, perhaps during our CarvingCamp, Oppdal
