No no, the snow coverage is not so thin. No stones on the slopes above 2500m (except 2 if we counted well

). I'm there with 3-4 other extremecarvers.
Le Col is just perfect. In November they have made artificial snow (with guns which have been removed since then), and a lot of fresh snow has covered it on mid-December.
Barthélémy is fantastic since December 26. This is really seldom that this slope (with 100% natural snow) is open so early. Usually it is more on mid-January, or 3 days before the ExtremeCarving Session

Thus the snow conditions are great for the
16th ExtremeCarving Session (Jan 26-27-28, 2019). Details coming soon, packages already available
here.
In resorts below 2500m, in West Switzerland and France, the conditions are catastrophic because of rain during Christmas. There is grass, or very bad ice which was formed with the rain.
In Pyrenees (south of France), it's even more catastrophic because there is no snow and the high temperatures prevented the making of artificial snow!

Probably we will have to cancel the session of the Swoard Demo Tour in Peyragudes (Jan 12-13, 2019) as this resort could be closed or limited.
