Hi

Post by skywalker » Tuesday 1 February 2005, 10:27

Hi Nils, Hi Max, Hi Sito, Hi Pokkis,

Hello all the others I was allowed to meet (again). It again was one of the absolute highlights of the year to be with you in Zinal!!! I still cannot really believe, how great this four days were. My sister and me returned yesterday in the evening between 10 and 11 pm. No remarcable troubles with the customs and a huge smile on the suntainted face ;).

THANKS A LOT in first place to Nils, Jacques and Patrice for organizing this non-profit event in the most beautyful extremecerving resort. The weather I'll take as my job done, but the cooperation with the resort guys, the great movies and the runs with the masters provided by you again were worth every kilometer, every our and every euro we spent!!!

And thanks for the outstanding fun I had with all the nice guys on the slopes of Zinal. This is, what you can't get anywhere else and what is the spirit of the ECS.

Deeply impressed

Tom

Please let us centralize the pictures on ofoto this way it will be only one album to order from! ;)
Am still awaiting the pictures resized to 1.5 mb each max and zipped in one file sent to me via www.yousendit.com ( try to not exceed 30mb per send)

As soon as I have them, i'll publish an ofoto album!
Meanwhile, we'll put them in the general gallery from EC.com, and Patrice will select the best pics to be part of the short listed ECS gallery that is on the main page!

Nils

http://ojankaivajat.1g.fi/kuvat/Zinal+2005/
I will gather more and make package for Nils, when i have more time to do some editing and selecting and perhaps can create small video clip too, but please be patient, nothing will hapen during next two weeks 8) cause i will have some powder to be destroyed and some slopes to be mushed :clap3: Oppdal has 230cm snow coverage and more droping and we will make quick check up there before CarvingCamp starts :bravo:

Edit: Please note that most pics are from flat section so no high speed or deep slope pics here and also most of pics are from gentleman riders of age point of you  plus be aware that there are few scary shots of skier too 8O but he belongs to famous norwegian team :D

Aha, now (after looking Jokke's pics) I know why I couldn't ride on Swoard these steeps: those Finns gave Virus to Swoard and then Swoard got Madd
And here are my pics
These pictures are only resized to 1/3rd of original and heavily packed to keep size down (my ISP provides only 20MB of space), no other processing done. Hopefully I have time in near future and can crop and post-process them properly (and send them to Nils).
Interesting though, that I happened to photograph same riders all the time, were they following me in hope to get on picture?

Really nice pictures, you are a true artist :D
And it`s odd that mr skywalker seems to be everywhere, has he made a clone from himself 8O but I must admit that he is very photographic :D

Artist?? Artists were on other side of lenses, performing those nice carves on slopes! I was just a button pusher and hoped that my camera doesn't let me down.
Oh, sorry, forgot this:
Thanks to organizers, thanks to weather forecast, thanks to all participants! Had best 3 days of my life! :clap2:
See y'a next year :hello:
